Doubled case study limit, AI-generated summaries, and a faster builder

✨ What's New

🎠 Case Study Carousel

What's changed:

• Case study limit doubled: Create up to 6 case studies (was 3)

• Carousel view: Portfolios with 4+ case studies now display in a sleek, swipe-able carousel

• Touch-friendly: Swipe on mobile, click arrows on desktop

• Responsive design: 1 card on mobile, 2 on tablet, 3 on desktop

You no longer have to decide which 3 projects to show. Lead with your best work, and let hiring managers explore the rest.

Note: we also cleaned up the view to reduce the overload of skills/tools used. Once the viewer clicks “view more” they can see that data now.

⭐ Featured Case Studies & References

Highlight your strongest work.

What you can do:

• Add a star on any case study or reference to mark it as "Featured.”

  • Note: you can only feature one at a time for now.

• Featured items display a badge so hiring managers know what to look at first

• Drag and drop to reorder case studies, references, and beyond work items - highlight your most important work first.

⭐ Beyond Work Improvements

Customize your Beyond Work section even further.

Now you can customize your CTAs for each of your Beyond Work items. Each one has a default, but if you can customize it in the builder.

🤖 AI-Generated Case Study Summaries

How it works:

• AI generates a 2-3 sentence summary (max 50 words) for each case study

• Summaries appear in the case study modal when hiring managers click "View more"

• Regenerate when you update your case study content

This is the elevator pitch for your project - concise, compelling, and tailored to hiring managers scanning quickly.

This feature will be on our paid plans and is currently being tested by our Founding Members before being rolled out.

✨ Onboarding Changes

New users have a better first experience.

What's changed:

• Two-step wizard creates your portfolio immediately

• Live preview shows exactly what you're building

• Portfolio goes live right away (in "Coming Soon" state until you add content)

• First-run guidance helps you navigate the builder

New users see exactly where to start.

📝 Builder Improvements

Small details that make things a bit smoother:

• Unpushed changes indicator: See when you have edits waiting to be published

• Case study summary field: Now resizable for easier editing

• Combined Media card: Profile photo and video intro now live together

• Sidebar auto-collapses: First-time builder users get maximum space to focus

🏷️ Work Type Redesign

Better categorization for how you work.

• Platform badges: Multi-select from 8 options including Mobile Web and Hardware/IoT

• Business Model dropdown: Choose from 6 options (B2B, B2C, B2B2C, etc.)

• Domain combobox: 14 presets

• Added a “Timeline” with custom entry.

Based on user feedback, we improved this overall. Feel free to keep sharing feedback and we can further refine!

👑 Founding Member Badge

Early believers deserve recognition.

Founding Members now see a purple gradient badge with crown icon:

• On your public portfolio (upper right of your name, can be hidden)

• In the dashboard sidebar

• On your Settings page

⚡ Performance Improvements

• 74% bundle size reduction to increase our loading speeds

• Smoother loading states: Skeleton placeholders instead of spinners

• Faster portfolio views

🐛 Bug Fixes

• Celebration modal only shows when actually publishing for the first time

• Experience descriptions toggle: Choose whether to show job descriptions on your portfolio. Previously these were displaying regardless if the toggle was on or off.

  • Note: it is worth checking if your toggle is OFF or ON. If you want your descriptions displayed, you may have to head to your builder and toggle ON your descriptions and click “Update.”
